Briefly describe the hiring process:
We carefully review each online application against the selection criteria and the requirements of each area. We let you know the outcome by phone or email. You'll also receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) so you can check the progress of your application online.
If your application is successful at the first stage, you will then do some online testing, followed by an interview over the phone.
You will then be asked to attend an assessment centre session and from there we select people for a second interview.
We will conduct reference and police checks. These checks are done by most organisations nowadays.
If you are successful for the Westpac Graduate Program, we'll give you a verbal offer, followed by a formal written offer and employment contract. You'll have about seven days to decide whether you want to accept the offer.
How much do you pay graduates?
Each year, we review graduate salaries against the marketplace to ensure that graduates are paid a competitive salary.
We also offer a range of financial and lifestyle benefits and an employee share plan so you can invest in your own future.
We also offer discounts on:
Personal loan and credit card interest rates
Mobile phone packages
Computer equipment

And if you need it, we also have child care services.
Do you allow deferred entry and if so, under what circumstances?
